WHEAT RIDGE

 

Wheat Ridge, Colorado is a western suburb of Denver located in Jefferson County. The city boundaries are Interstate I-70 to the north, Sheridan Blvd. to the east, 32nd Avenue to the south, and Interstate I-70 to the west. The average time to commute to downtown Denver is about 19 minutes.

 

 

The City has easy access to downtown and to the Rocky Mountains via to major freeways: I-70 and US Route 6. With an area of 9.5 square miles, Wheat Ridge has a population of 30,166. It has seen a resurgence of growth through community development initiatives focusing on improving its social connections between its residence and its built environment, making it more livable and improving quality of life.

There are over 100 restaurants, bars and coffee shops within the City that attracts both residents and visitors. The City maintains a “small town” feel within the greater Denver area. It has a burgeoning art community with great venues of galleries and studios. Residents can find a slew of fitness establishments that suites their needs, from Yoga, to biking and bowling.

The Wheat Ridge Greenbelt serves many walkers, joggers and bikers as part of the Clear Creek Trail. Several parks link to the Greenbelt making Wheat Ridge a well connected series of open spaces.
